GarrisonOS is fundamentally designed as a self-hosted, open-source property management platform. When you deploy and run GarrisonOS on your own server or hardware, no property data, tenant personally identifiable information (PII), lease terms, financial transactions, or file attachments are ever transmitted to or stored by the GarrisonOS project or its contributors. You maintain 100% custody, control, and ownership over your database and server storage at all times.

2. Information Collected on GarrisonOS.org

When visiting the public website at garrisonos.org, we maintain a strict minimal-data policy:

• Standard Web Server Access Logs: Like virtually all websites, our web hosting server (cPanel / Apache) automatically logs basic technical request data including your IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, requested page path, and timestamp. These logs are retained solely for server performance optimization, diagnostic error tracing, and defensive cybersecurity monitoring.
• No Third-Party Analytics or Trackers: We do not embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, tracking beacons, cross-site trackers, or commercial advertising scripts on this website.
• Client-Side Local Storage: This website utilizes browser localStorage solely to remember your preferred interface theme (dark mode or light mode via the key garrisonos_theme). This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our server.

3. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website contains links to external platforms, notably our source code repository hosted on GitHub. We do not control the privacy practices or data policies of GitHub or other third-party websites. 4. Pre-Production Prototype Notice

GarrisonOS is currently in active pre-production prototyping. Any demonstration sandboxes or developer prototypes evaluated by users should be tested solely with synthetic, non-sensitive demo data. Do not input real tenant social security numbers, banking credentials, or sensitive tax data into pre-production prototype instances.
